Team Fortress 2

For some reason, I always get a lot of deaths. For example, the revolver (Spy) is hard to use. Whenever I attempt to backstab, an enemy just randomly turns around and kills me. The sentry guns are NEAR impossible to destroy or avoid, even as a Scout. I also aim properly and my shots usually miss.

Is there any good guides that can help me at TF2 or do you have any tips?

P.S. I’m not obsessed with this game, I play it for fun, but me dying a lot just ruins it.

P.P.S. Please don’t tell me to "Google it", because I want a GOOD guide, or guides for other classes. Also, don’t tell me to play with bots, because bots act differently to human players (E.g. When disguised, they’ll ALWAYS not know you’re a Spy, unless you cloak/decloak or follow them).
@Alex Souther: Bonk! Atomic Punch can usually work at times (I have it), but sometimes, the Sentries are in a perfect position, so you’ll be trapped. About the Spy tips, there alright, I can’t remember if I was quick or not. Otherwise, TY.

Well, I purchased Team Fortress 2 from the Steam Store recently. After dealing with a few downloading issues I managed to load up the game successfully, with a catch. Everything loads up fine, game works great. But my mouse cursor doesn’t show up anywhere…I basically have to guide myself by guessing and hovering from button to button on the menu mainly. Any ideas on how to fix this little dilemma?
